I am originally from Miami, FL where I earned my Bachelor’s of Science at the University of Miami and Medical Doctorate from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine through the Honors Program in Medicine (a program designed to allow its participants to complete both a Bachelor’s degree and a Medical Doctorate in 6 years).
Following the belief that healing involves the mind, body, and spirit, I trained to sharpen my skill-set in each of those areas: I completed an Adult Psychiatry residency at the University of Florida (where I served as Chief Resident one year earlier than is typical). I also finished a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at the University of Florida, during which I was selected as Chief Fellow. I am Board-Certified in both specialties by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Due to my keen interest in a holistic, integrative approach to psychiatry, I went on to earn an additional board certification from the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine; as well as certification in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. Currently, I am pursuing further training in the field of Functional Medicine.
Over the last 11 years, I have had the opportunity to train and work in several different arenas. Those areas have included academic medicine, forensics, community mental health, as well as the private sector; thus, providing exposure to a wide range of clinical opportunities and creating a foundation of broad clinical experience.
Life is too short to be mentally, physically, or spiritually miserable…especially when we have the power to do something about it. I look forward to assisting you on you and your family’s journey to wholeness!
Warm Regards,
